My process is highly individualized, which is how I get results.

I help students through college admissions tests, applications, essays, and demanding high schools courses, I make complex material simple.

SAT-ACT-PSAT-ISEE Tutoring

I offer a free consultation to determine the best testing option for your student. Each student requires an individualized approach to prepare for the tests, depending upon aptitude, interest, work ethic, and aspirations. We will carve out a plan that works for you and your son or daughter.

We do one- hour sessions. We work weekly or biweekly to cover each subject for the test. I prefer intense work on each section and then ask for a complete practice test. I have found success in learning from mistakes rather than simply asking students to take a lot of practice tests without discussion. My methods have consistently resulted in score improvement for each student who fully engages in the process.

 

College Planning and Advising

I assist a limited number of high school students each year and assist in navigating the entire college admissions process. We research schools and plan the best strategy for visits, interviews, and application timing. We prepare intently for the all-important essay sections of the applications. I have former students who have attended many of the country’s most popular schools. I am happy to share my experiences, my contacts, and my suggestions for admission.

My goal is to help each student “BRING IT” in terms of working to a personal best and understanding the value and advantage in devoting time and energy to this process.

 

College Applications

With a student's resume as the foundation, we craft college applications to fully feature everything notable about the applicant. Stand-out personal accomplishments are highlighted in the essay prompt responses, and we work together to edit to perfection. It's a collaborative process, and ultimately students are given the tools to better communicate.

 

Learning Fundamentals

Let's get back to the basics. In this scope of service, I teach my students the key learning tools needed to become a high achieving student. Student's learn how to take notes, study effectively, and apply principles into action with test taking strategies, all in a format that's approachable and useful.
